Question About Emerson Clock Radio CKS1855
Installed new battery/not setting date or doing anything...

RE: emerson CKS1855 radio, the low battery had been flashing for a few weeks. I just bought a new battery and tried installing. Radio had been unplugged for a few days. I plugged it in and got an odd display of numbers/partial letters. I put the battery in but it's just not doing anything. Can you help? Could the new battery be bad? 3 I'm guessing the battery is bad. Have you tried to find a reset button. I have the same model, could you tell me what size battery it takes?

2 I thought about the battery as well but didn't feel like buying another one. I also looked for a reset button but didn't find one. My husband was at a thrift store today and saw the same clock. He plugged it in and it was doing the same thing so I'm forgetting the whole thing and chalking it up to a faulty product/model.

1 The battery size is CR2430.
