5 I Had the very same problem, i think it was due to it not being charged. it would not charge on my pc (still won't) i fixed this by connecting the unit to a usb wall charger, press middle/play button (not the power button as it states in the manual) when it comes up with the connected screen then you will see the charging dialog. when charged it will say fully charged and the unit should work flawlessly!!

5 I have tried plugging into both laptop and mains charger, also power and play buttons but can get no life out of the unit at all. Was last used last year and worked perfectly but seems to be flat now. Anything else I can try?
