Question About Audiovox Portable DVD Player D1917ES
operation w/o remote...

recently picked up d1917 player w/o remote or power cord/charger. (1)will all the functions work properly w/o remote (2) will a universal power cord handle full function of playing & charging (3) what about a universal remote?
