Our iHome mysteriously stopped keeping current date and time on December 4th. No matter how many times we reset it, it will not stay current. We have replaced the batteries and it is plugged into the wall, and the ipod player functions without problems, but it is irritating to say the least that it won't keep time or date any more. Any help you have to offer would be GREATLY appreciated!

4 I fixed my ih36 clock (it stopped as well). With help from iHome I replaced the 32768Hz xtal and it looks to be running again. This is not for the faint of heart. You have to tear into the ih36 removing everything down to the board w/the xtal (U6) in the bottom of the case. It's a common xtal. I found mine in a cheap discarded stick up clock.

3 I have the same problem and I emailed the iHome support and they emailed me back in a day saying they thought it was defective and to mail it in to their repair service as it shows in the user's manual. Of course the 90 warranty is long expired, so it would cost $30.00 to have them fix it. I think I'll either take it apart to look at or just use it as another iPod player before I send it it in to have it serviced.

0 It would be unusual for the clock to derive time from the 60Hz of the power line. But that's what I am thinking. The part that is picking off this timing is probably burnt out. On the other hand, does this thing keep time only on the batteries?
