performance,ultra compact surfacemount weather resistant loudspeaker. Afull bandwidth
loudspeaker designed for commercial, professional and residential applications whereenvironment
durability and high quality sonic performance are required. Indoor or outdoor, these speakers are
ideally suited to stereo or monaural background or foreground musicsystemsin such applications
as diverse as theme parks, retail premises, restaurants and cafés, corporate audio visual, residential
developmentsand housesof worship.
Renownedfor its extraordinarypowerhandling, high sensitivity,extended frequency responseand
very lowdistortion,Tannoy’s DualConcentric™ providesa wideand controlleddispersionensuring
optimum coverage. By placing the high frequency driveunit physically inside the low frequency
driver, Tannoy engineers have createda truepoint source that exhibits constant directivity and
unparalleledlinearity. Perfectfor this type ofapplication, the driver system generates aspherical
wavefront unaffectedby energy loss at the crossover frequencyin either vertical or horizontal
planes; allowing highly flexible speakerplacement on the wall or ceiling with nocompromise to
performance and vocal intelligibility.
The Dual Concentric™ driver in the Di8 DCuses a200mm (8.00") complexmulti fibre paper pulp
mix forthemidbasscone toachieveoptimumacousticperformance,whileacomprehensiveresin
treatmentprocessensures thematerials weatherresistance.Theconcentricallypositioned25mm
(1.00") HF unit has aferrofluidcooled titanium dome,with aneodymium magnet system, equipped
withdynamichigh frequencyprotection.
Available in textured blackor white painted finish with matching rubber trims, the
outstandingly durable and scuffresistant, high impact polystyrene (HIPS) Di enclosure is weather
resistant, rated IP64 to EN60529(IEC529); aconstruction fully optimisedfor
consistent performance in adverseconditions indoorsor out.
Modification is possible by applicationof alternativecolour trims.Two standard colour trim
options areavailable from stock; enablingblack or whiteproducttobe suppliedfactorypre-fitted with
either red or blue trims.
Other trim colourscan also be created to suit specificrequirements, but onlyas a specialorder
customisation subjectto minimumorder quantities.Primarilyaimedat corporate branding
applications, this aesthetic flexibility will also enable colour coordination for larger installs.
Transformer version -the Di8 DCt
The Di8 DCt modeloption is equipped with an internally mountedlow insertion loss line
transformer for70Vor100Vdistributed sound applications. Wattagetapsare easilyconfigurable to
the following settingsvia aneasily accessible rotary tappingswitch,which is bottom panel mounted
under the rubber trim.
70V: 60W /30W / 15W / 7.5W /OFF &Low impedance operation
100V: 60W /30W /15W / OFF & Low impedance operation
