Setting the sleep timer [Sleep Timer]
To cancel the sleep timer
You can set the period of time after which your Walkman automatically enters standby mode and
the screen turns off (Sleep Timer).
1. On the music playback screen, press the OPTION/PWR/HOLD button.
The option menu appears.
2. Select [Sleep Timer]
desired sleep timer duration.
Type Description
[30 Min] Turns off the Walkman after 30 minutes.
[60 Min] Turns off the Walkman after 60 minutes.
[90 Min] Turns off the Walkman after 90 minutes.
[120 Min] Turns off the Walkman after 120 minutes.
Hint
After setting the sleep timer,
appears in the information area of the music playback
screen.
To cancel the sleep timer
After setting the sleep timer, press the BACK/HOME button, press and hold the BACK/HOME
button or press the OPTION/PWR/HOLD button on the music playback screen.
When [Sleep timer is now set. Cancel?] appears, select [Yes].
If you select [No], the sleep timer is not cancelled, and the music playback screen reappears.
Note
The sleep timer will not activate if your Walkman is connected to a computer.
After setting the sleep timer, if you turn your Walkman off by pressing and holding the
OPTION/PWR/HOLD button and then turn the Walkman on again, the sleep timer is
cancelled.
The sleep timer will not activate in the following situations.
Connected to a computer.
Sounding the alarm.
The sleep timer will be canceled in the following situations.
Entering standby mode.
Connecting your Walkman to a computer.
