3. When connected to computer, the display changes to recovery mode no. 2.
Run “Samsung PMC YH-999 Recovery Tool(update).exe” in the downloaded
[Recovery Utility] folder, and select
[File]
→
[Connect to Device]
→
[Samsung PMC YH-999].
The data area is damaged. While this image is displayed,
the player automatically recovers the data area and is restarted after recovery.

If the display shows recovery mode no. 4 image:
The player cannot be recovered by the user
and should be sent to the Samsung service center for repairs.
Call 1-800-SAMSUNG for instructions.

If the display shows recovery mode no. 5 image:
i) Select [File]
→
[Update OS Image]
→
NK.bin in the [Recovery Utility] folder
and select [Open]. Select [OK] when update is completed.
ii) Select [File]
→
[Update fonts]
→
gulim.ttc [Recovery Utility] folder
and select [Open]. Select [OK] when update is completed.
iii) Select [File]
→
[Update fonts]
→
msgothic.ttc in the [Recovery Utility] folder
and select [Open]. Select [OK] when update is completed.
When update is completed, close the program and disconnect the player from
the computer. When the player is restarted, it is successfully recovered.
