LA CROSSE TECHNOLOGY QUICK SET-UP INSTRUCTIONS
Please make sure that fresh batteries are installed properly in the receiver and the sensor.
IMPORTANT!! Do not set the time or press any other buttons
until the display has communicated with
the outdoor sensor for at least 10 minutes.
Use the “SET” button toggle through the menu options.
Use the “MAX/+” or “ALARM/-” buttons to change the menu options when they are flashing.
1. Press and hold the SET button for 5 seconds until LCD will show in the time field and a number
will begin to flash. Press and release MIN/MAX+ or ALARM/- to adjust the contrast between
“lcd 1” and “lcd 7”.
2. Press and release SET and the time zone will be flashing. Press and release MIN/MAX+ or
ALARM/- to adjust the time zone to your area. (“-5” Eastern, “-6” Central, “-7” Mountain, “-8”
Pacific).
3. Press and release SET and DST will appear. Press and release MIN/MAX+ or ALARM/- to
toggle between ON and OFF. If you live in an area that does not observe Dayliht Savings Time,
select OFF.
4. Press and release SET and RCC will appear. Press and release MIN/MAX+ or ALARM/- to
toggle between ON and OFF. If you choose not to receive automatic updates from WWVB, select
OFF.
5. Press and release SET and 12 or 24 will appear. Press and release MIN/MAX+ or ALARM/- to
toggle between 12 hour or 24 hour time display mode.
6. Press and release SET and the hours will start flashing. Press and release MIN/MAX+ or
ALARM/- to select the hour.
7. Press and release SET and the minutes will start flashing. Press and release MIN/MAX+ or
ALARM/- to select the minutes.
8. Press and release SET and the year will start flashing. Press and release MIN/MAX+ or
ALARM/- to select the year.
9. Press and release SET and the numeric month will start flashing. Press and release MIN/MAX+
or ALARM/- to select the month.
10. Press and release SET and the numeric date will start flashing. Press and release MIN/MAX+ or
ALARM/- to select the date.
11. Press and release SET and the temperature format will start flashing. Press and release
MIN/MAX+ or ALARM/- to toggle between (F) Fahrenheit and (C) Celsius.
12. Press and release SET and the forecast tendency will start flashing. Press and release MIN/MAX+
or ALARM/- to toggle between 1 (dry), 2 (moderate), 3 (humid/coastal)
13. Press and release SET and the animation indicator will start flashing. Press and release
MIN/MAX + or ALARM/- to toggle between ON or OFF. this determines if you want the starry
sky background of the moon phase to twinkle or not.
14. Press and release SET to exit set-up.
