Insignia MP3 Player ns-2v17b

I downloaded the firmware upgrade and I change the player to file and folder and reconnect and the upgrade software still will not recognize it and just tells me to change the player to file and folder. I tried 3 different computers with the same results. The version I have on the player is 1.008.
