Magnavox Portable DVD Player mpd820

not working

my portable dvd player does not work. it was working fine the other day. i went to turn it on and nothing. it won't charge. i have tried different outlets throughout my house. it seems like there is no power at all. the plug going into the outlet is warm to the touch. any ideas/solutions would be greatly appreciated! thank you!
