  I don't have a manual. I had one- but it was useless!!!! So I figured it out on my own. Now it is so cool I am going to borrow it from my son for my own music!!! :)
  
  Here is what I did to get my slick media player to play mp3 (like napster and limewire) and files from my windows media player (that come from my cd's).
  
  When you put your slick media player into the usb port tell it to open files (not play music).
  
  Inside this file manager you may already have a MICIN.DIR folder- that has any of your voice recordings on it. Create a new folder and label it mp3 in the file manager next to the MICIN.DIR NOT within MICIN.DIR. Drop all of your mp3 or wmp files into this folder.
  
  Now to navigate within the slick media player itself:
  
  Play/Pause Button: Hold the play/pause button to turn on and off.
  Hold Button: on the side locks it so it won't turn on accidentially.
  Menu: tells you where all your stuff is. The choices are play music- play voice- setting- about- folder- exit.
  
  To navigate within Menu be patient, to move from right to left, press the forward or back button. Remember it isn't a touch screen!!! It doesn't have an instant response. Highlight your item and press Menu again to open that option.
  
  Music: will play your mp3 and wmp files
  Voice: will play your recorded voice files
  Setting: has crazy options like an equilizer, music type settings (jazz, classical, etc.) + much, much more!
  About: tells you how much space you have left in MB (mega bites)
  Folder: tells you how your folders are organized. There is a little house (home), then the mp3 and the MICIN.DIR. Here you can chose to delete files instead of going to your computer. You should be able to do more with this but I'm not at that level yet.
  
  What I have found with this device is to just be patient with the buttons. Give them time to respond to you and it is actually a pretty decent little mp3 player.
  
  Also, it always resets the volume to zero when you turn it on- so remember that! Just push the V+ or V- buttons.
  
  HOPE THIS HELPS! I'VE HAD THIS MONSTER FOR ABOUT A YEAR, BUT NOW I FINALLY GET TO USE IT!!!

  when you put your mp3 player into the usb drive. go to my computer and open the device drive. Once the device is open, you need to use the create folder button to create a folder and label the new folder "mp3". Drag and drop all of your music files into there. The music files seem to have to be in that folder to play even though they can be seen on the device. Put them in the new mp3 folder and it should work for you. :)

• Getting from voice recorder back to MP3 payer mode
  
  
  Somehow i got into the WAV recorder mode and can not get back to the MP3 player mode to play my music on my player. I have tried pushing the REC/AB button but it does not go back. The book is no help as it only tells you how to get into the Rec Mode. I would think you would do the same thing to go back to MP3 mode but is will not go back

  on the box, it says that you can change the color display on the mp3 player. does anyone know how to do that? i have been up and down all the menus and i don't think that feature is available. can someone tell me if it is? (and if it is, how to use it?)

  I just happened to be screwing around with Windows Media Player and clicked the "SYNC" button. Magically, it told me to plug in a device, I plugged in the SLICK and just dragged and dropped from there. It actually worked ! Pushing and holding the menu button on the slick and hitting the play button opened the menu and the rest came pretty easily. Like the other person said, patience is the key here. The EQ is pretty cool. That's it so far - I hope this helps .

  I bought mine in December and now the video converter won't work correctly. The product is fine but the file on my computer just isn't working. It's been like this for about a month, the files on the player work perfectly, and the video converter on my CP is the only thing wrong. Has this been happening is it news to you?
