  Sony monitor shows no power
  Monitor won't come on. Seems like it don't have any power at all, although unplugging it and checking the power connections are ok.

  when connected properly to laptop and working, the monitor suddenly went black and the red light (on-off) blinks and no picture on the monitor at all. Connected and re-connected the VGA to no avail. Don't know what to do, or if this is a monitor problem that can be fixed. Any suggestions?

  It was given to me by a friend that is owns an electronics and computer store, he gave it to me because it was used as a display model & it is missing the power supply.
