  Transparent Gray Rectangle On Screen
  Certain cable channels display a transparent dark gray rectangle in the lower third of the screen. It is approx 75% of the screen width and 20% of the screen height. It comes on after 15 or so seconds. It disappears when the menu is activated, but returns 15 or so seconds after the menu is exited…

  Usually in the manual or user guide you have codes to program the remote control to run the dvd or vcr. I could not find any thing for that.

  I recently purchased a Memorex MLT1522. I plugged it in and connected a cable to my satellite receiver. The screen message says "no database". No sound, no channels. What now?
