Do You Know About These Manuals?

  Manual request
  I am trying to set a tv up for my mom. It is an older tv and we cannot find the manual. I have it set up and plugged into the cable outlet but am only receiving about 5 channels. I go through and use autoprogramming and still only 5 Channels. When I use the up and down channel buttons it just goes through every channel but it is a black screen and it will not stop even on the channels that do come in. It is an older TV but it is in excellent condition. I am afraid I am missing something very simple. My mom lives alone and I think having a TV will help keep her company! Can you PLEASE help?
